    Habitat Korea seeks to advocate the right to adequate housing to bring about sustainable and innovative solutions to housing issues.

    Habitat Korea is building ‘a world where everyone has a decent place to live’.

    However, housing issues are worsening due to the environmental degradation, economic inequality, urbanisation, and humanitarian crisis at a global scale.
    Habitat for Humanity, as a leading housing organisation, has a responsibility to bring about positive and profound changes to housing issues.
    Habitat for Humanity, therefore, is conducting global advocacy movements and calling for policy changes through evidence-based solutions.

    Habitat for Humanity’s knowledge as an expert in the field of housing welfare has been a leading tool to convince the government officials of the importance of adequate housing in ending poverty.

      As an international housing NPO, Habitat for Humanity advocates SDG 11 ‘Make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable’. By implementing various programmes surrounding the housing issues, Habitat for Humanity is attempting to achieve SDG 11.

    • Solid Ground Campaign

      With a slogan ‘Land is the foundation for life’, Habitat for Humanity conducted a global campaign, calling for policy changes to guarantee safe and adequate housing. In 4 years of campaign, there had been policy changes in favour of gender equality, disaster risk resilience, the right to adequate housing, slum improvement and others in 12 countries, which helped over 3 million people stablise their living conditions..
